Projects

A selection of current and recent engagements, each led personally by our principal. We’re happy to discuss references directly.

Emergency Works Strategy and LCLR Programme

Developing the Council’s Emergency Works Strategy and a prioritised low-cost low-risk resilience programme across the district network, and working contract by contract with Council’s engineers to bring forecast-at-completion costs to a point where the programme can be closed out with NZTA with confidence.

Network resilience planning tool

Commissioned to deliver a resilience planning tool for Council’s duty staff, bringing weather, hazard and network criticality information together into a single view of what an approaching event means for the roads, so decisions during an event are made on evidence rather than instinct.

Bridge renewal and replacement programme

Building a 30-year bridge programme from Council’s structures register and inspection data, prioritised on condition and defects rather than age, with funding scenarios across maintenance, component replacement and full replacement to support the Asset Management Plan submission. Includes procurement of a rural bridge replacement under NZS 3910.

Emergency Works Strategy and LCLR Resilience Programme

Preparing the Council’s Emergency Works Strategy and a prioritised LCLR programme for the district’s roads, including a review of emergency works claims to improve transparency and payment assurance between Council and its maintenance contractor.

River crossing upgrade options assessment

Options assessment for a rural ford on a braided river, covering closure, ford upgrade and low- and high-level bridge options, with catchment hydrology context, traffic need justification and indicative costs to support Council’s decision.
